It’s unclear what’s next for Fast and Furious, and director F9 is leaving the door open for a possible Jurassic World crossover. As seen in the new F9 trailer, the blockbuster series has finally entered space after years of joking about the franchise’s natural progression. Once you reach the stars, all you have to do is overtake the dinosaurs in super-fast cars.

Since both the Fast and Furious franchise and the Jurassic World films fall under the umbrella of Universal, Lin was asked directly during a virtual F9 press conference if the two worlds would collide, and here’s what the director had to say.

Well, I never told anyone. And part of our philosophy is to never be boxed or stickered. And that’s all I’m gonna say.

If you read between the lines, Lin is at least open to the concept of a Jurassic crossover, which certainly fits into their guidelines of not being packaged as a pure race movie. F9 star Michelle Rodriguez, for her part, seems much more open to the idea, as a big Fast and Furious meets Jurassic World-esque crossover makes perfect sense to her.

Once you reach a certain peak, there’s nothing to do but rebrand and merge, that’s what big companies do to each other when they get too big, you know what I mean? We just need to stand out and merge. But the only thing standing in the way are the lawyers and the studios. Because usually the brands you want to put together are from different studios or something. But it’s under the same umbrella. I don’t know. I’m just saying. It works.

There may only be two options left to play with in a Jurassic World crossover, unless the franchise expands into another spin-off series, like Hobbs and Shaw. It was announced that only two more installments of the main Fast and Furious series would be released, and that F11 would conclude the story. None of these projects have been revealed yet, but there are signs that Universal is seriously considering a Jurassic World crossover.

In the meantime, the Jurassic World series is doing just fine without any planned crossovers. The next installment in this series is Jurassic World: Dominion, will be released on the 10th. June 20, 2022 in theaters by Universal Pictures. The new film brings back Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as Jurassic Park favorites Sam Neal, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum. Due to the success of its predecessors, the film is likely to make a lot of money when it hits theaters, as F9 is also expected to do.

Directed by Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena and Tyrese Gibson, F9 comes out on the 25th after years of being delayed. June 2021 to be released in US cinemas. No dinosaurs, but let’s hope the wait was worth it. The message is from the website.

Looks like it: Helen McCrory died. The Peaky Blind star and Harry Potter favorite was 52.
