Serena Williams left the Australian Open press conference with tears in her eyes after her semi-final loss to Naomi Osaka.
The big American saw her latest attempt to win her 24th career title come to a close. The Grand Slam title ended with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over three-time champion Osaka, Japan.
She said goodbye to the crowd at the Rod Laver Arena with a long wave of her hand over her heart, raising questions about the 39-year-old woman’s future.
She said: I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. If I ever say goodbye, I won’t tell anyone.
Williams started crying when asked another question about his unintentional errors against Osaka.

Williams thanked his fans in a post on Instagram shortly after the game.
