Famous hairdresser Dimitris Giannetos styled Joey King for his winning image when she won the Best Film Star 2020 award at the People’s Choice Awards for his film Kissing Stand 2. Joey was gorgeous and wore his hair in a cute boba up to his chin, combined with beautiful sw waves. Dimitris explained the process by which he created Joey’s award-winning image and noted that he used Dove products in Joey’s work.

For the People’s Choice Awards Joey wears a chic red outfit with lots of texture and an interesting silhouette. Inspired by the Bottega Veneta S/S ’21 hairstyles, I have created an image of Joey that is simple and refined, but with a strong personality. Sometimes it’s harder to make style simple and casual than to create a super neat look!

- Starting with Joey’s wet hair, I sprayed my favorite spray, Dove Smooth + Shine Heat Protectant, evenly during treatment before blow-drying my hair to protect it from heat damage.
- Once my hair was dry, I used Dove Care Between Wash Brunette Dry Shampoo to add texture to my hair, and the grain size of the starch helps keep the style in shape. Because of the brown color of the dry shampoo I can use as much as I need on Joey’s brown hair without leaving traces of white powder.
- Then I started at the back of the hairline and made a few curves in the shape of a letter S with a flat iron to keep the hair fine. I worked his hair the same way over and over again until I came to his farewell.
- At the top I unbuttoned my hair in the middle and added a few waves of the letter S to frame his face.
- I’ve finished my look with a generous distribution of Dove Style + Care Micro Mist Extra lacquer, which helps control moisture and prevents static electricity from making it feel too fresh and stiff.
