Despite the fact that teams and players are already preparing for one of the fastest free agencies in the world and don’t know when they will officially start this off-season. It is expected that this winter the free roper Rajon Rondo will have several knights, including the LA Clippers.

According to Mark Stein of the New York Times, the Clippers want to sign the contract after supporting the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2020 NBA Championship.

According to competition sources, clients are interested in signing the Lakers’ Rajon Rondo and should follow it when the free agency opens in November.

Stein reports that the Lakers are of course determined to retire Rondo for this off-season. This would mean Rondo would have to pay after giving up his $2.7 million option for the 2020-21 season.

Meanwhile, the Clippers would be looking to improve their playing skills after the lack of a clear playmaker around Kavi Leonard and Paul George. This was not considered one of the factors that led the Denver Nuggets to a 3-1 lead in the semifinals of the conference, but it could have ensured that that lead was not lost.

Although this message expresses the Clippers’ interest in Rondo, it can also be a trick to make Lakers or other interested teams pay Rondo what it requires from a free agency. Clay Thompson did something similar last year and indicated that he was interested in supporting the Clippers with a free desk. Shortly after, the Warriors offered Thompson a five-year contract worth $190 million, which he was happy to accept.

It is also not clear how Rondo approaches the Clippers. Clippers don’t necessarily need a joker. He’s clearly a good playmaker and has had his whole career, but the Clippers had every means to get past Denver and they just didn’t use them well. You don’t accidentally build up a 3-1 lead.

Even with the blowball, Rondo wasn’t very effective. He’s not known for being a great cutter or a great shot. In the quarry, a 31.6% three-point gunner shot 40% from behind a bow into the bubble, including several components with multiple three-point gunners. Rondo, who turns 35 in February, has also been increasingly injured in the course of his career.

Connecting points

Rondo has played more than 70 games since 2009-10, where he has played 81 out of 82 possible games (with the exception of the 2011-12 shutout period, where he has played 53 out of 66 possible games). This season he has played 48 out of 71 possible matches. Last season he played 46 of the 82 possible games. Sustainability is a big challenge for Rondo, and the reason the Clippers can add it to their puzzle is because of the availability during the off-season. Rajon Rondo is double NBA champion and one of the smartest players in the NBA. But do the Clippers want this guy to be more vulnerable to injuries and less effective in scoring goals now that he’s older and Leonard and George can take the ball out of his hands to attack more effectively?

If Rajon Rondo can somehow be the same player that he was in the bubble that we haven’t seen yet, it may solve some of the Clippers’ problems with the game and at the same time reduce the pressure on Kavi Leonard and Paul George. As one of the smartest players in the NBA, Rondo could also be the big man who could appeal to Landry Shamet and Terence Mann to help Ivica Zubac grow.

In 16 playoffs Rajon Rondo has become a Rondo with an average of 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.4 steals, 45.5% of the track and 40% behind the bow.

Rondo’s approach to the Clippers is questionable to say the least, but a free agency is always a crazy time in the NBA. Let’s see what happens.
