A new poster for Disney’s next Cruella, the life story of Cruella de Vil, the villain from 101 Dalmatians, has been released and shows a new wild look for Emma Stone as the title heroine. With the poster confirming the theatrical release in May 2021, the announcement that the first trailer of the film will be online tomorrow.

Hello, cruel world.
ACCEPTED : Cruella is an original story that will first air on Disney+ in 2021.

Cruella traces the beginning of Disney’s legendary badness. The film is set in the 1970s punk rock scene in London. The film follows a young fashion designer, Cruella de Vil, who becomes obsessed with dog fur, specifically Dalmatians, until she becomes the ruthless and terrifying legend we all love to hate. We haven’t seen any footage of Cruella yet, but judging by the poster, it’s clear that the film will lean heavily on the punk rock aesthetic of the ’70s, especially in regards to the villain who bears the title, Stone.

Cruella is directed by yours truly, Craig Gillespie Tony, from a script by Alina Brosh McKenna (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Jez Butterworth (Ford vs. Ferrari), Kelly Marcelle (Venom) and Tony McNamara (The Favourite), as well as Dana Fox and Steve Zissis. La La Land actress Emma Stone plays the lead role of the famous outlaw Cruella de Vil. Starring Emma Thompson as the Baroness, Paul Walter Hauser as Horace, Joel Fry as Jasper, Emily Beacham as Anita, Kirby Howell-Batista as Tabitha and Jamie Demetriou as Gerald.

Although the production on Cruella wrapped up late last year, there hasn’t been much talk about where the live track came from. It’s clear that Disney has had tremendous success with live-action remakes of classic films, the most successful of which look a lot like their animated predecessors. Billions of movies like The Lion King and Aladdin have been copied almost enough from their beloved counterparts, but Cruella will be very different and more like 2014’s Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie.

Cruella is expected in the United States on the 28th. May 2021 in cinemas. However, depending on the state of the world at the time, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see the film’s release delayed at Disney+, or at least a simultaneous theatrical and streaming release as previously thought.

Cruella is just one of many live Disney projects coming out of the studio. These include the Robert Zemeckis-directed remake of Pinocchio in Back to the Future, starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto, and Peter Pan & Wendy, a live remake of the 1953 Disney animated film Peter Pan, directed by David Lowery and starring Alexander Moloney and Ever Anderson. Disney is also working on Enchanted 2, the highly anticipated 2007 sequel that will bring together Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey.

With the growing popularity of Disney+ and the many ongoing projects in various franchises, now is definitely a good time to become a Disney+ fan. Stay tuned for Cruella’s debut first trailer. This site was made available to us through Cruella’s official Twitter account.
