It’s been a long time since Barcelona played at the Stade de France, but the aces of the Catalan club are hoping to return to their Parisian fortress for the first time since their historic defeat to Liverpool in 2009/10. With the Spanish giants now playing at the Nou Camp, their blues have a chance to kick Paris St-Germain’s PSG out of the top spot. Messi’s nemesis of the last seven years, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is the man to beat, as the Swede is currently the best player on the planet.

He is the most successful player in the history of football, and he is still only 23 years old. For the last few years he has been regarded by most as the best player in the world, which is why his latest major move is so surprising. Since he left Barcelona in the summer of 2014, Messi has signed for his boyhood club, Barca, in a club record move. He is now looking forward to playing in the Champions League, which he has never won.

Lionel Messi is currently the world’s best player, but there’s one thing he’s never won: the Champions League. If he is going to add that trophy to his resume, he’ll have to win it with his current club, Barcelona. But that’s not as easy as you might think—last year they were eliminated by Wales.. PSG is’ready to compete for all the titles,’ according to the club. – Lionel Messi

After joining Paris St-Germain, Lionel Messi expressed his desire to win the Champions League once more, saying, “I think we have the team to do it here.”

The 34-year-old Argentina captain has four Champions League championships to his name, the most recent of which he won with Barcelona in 2015.

After losing in the 2020 final to Bayern Munich, PSG is still looking for their first championship in the tournament.

As he was introduced as a PSG player, Messi stated, “My aim and my desire is to win the Champions League once again.”

Messi left Barcelona, which he joined at the age of 13, since the club couldn’t afford a new contract due to La Liga’s financial fair play regulations. He is regarded as one of the best footballers of all time, having scored 672 goals for the Catalan giants in 778 appearances.

After a “tough” departure from Barcelona, he stated he is delighted to “starting this new phase of my life.” He won the Ballon d’Or a record six times and hoisted 35 trophies during his tenure at the Nou Camp.

“After such a long period, it was a tough adjustment,” he told reporters at the Parc des Princes. “However, as soon as I got here, I felt very pleased, and I am eager to begin the training sessions.” I’m hoping for a fast turnaround.

“All I want to do now is start the training sessions.” I’m looking forward to working with the team and starting this new chapter in my life.

“I have a strong desire to play.” I’m becoming a little irritated. I still want to win, just as I did at the start of my career.

“This club, in my opinion, is ready to compete for all of the titles. This is my goal; I want to continue to grow and win titles, which is why I joined this club.”

Messi is confident that PSG have a team capable of winning the Champions LeaguePSG has a squad capable of winning the Champions League, according to Messi.

‘I’d want to see Barcelona again.’

PSG’s ambition to reach the European summit has taken a significant step forward with the addition of Messi, who has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third.

After losing in the semi-finals to Manchester City last season, the Parisians – who also lost their Ligue 1 title to Lille – have brought in Champions League champions Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Lionel Messi.

Messi is aware, however, that if he is to win the cup for the fifth time, he may have to meet Barcelona along the road, and acknowledges that playing in PSG’s colors at the Nou Camp would be “quite weird.”

“Barcelona is my home; I’ve lived there since I was a child and have experienced so much,” he said.

“I’m not sure whether we’ll encounter each other, but it would be wonderful to return to Barcelona.”

“It will be odd to play in a different jersey at home in Barcelona, but everything can happen, and we will see.”

‘We have the world’s most competitive squad.’

Messi’s arrival in Paris brings one of the most fearsome attacking lines in history to a close. The South American is expected to play alongside the two most expensive players in history, former Barcelona teammate Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, in PSG’s frontline.

With Mbappe’s contract due to end in 2022, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi thinks that bringing in Messi would be crucial in retaining him at the club.

“He wanted a competitive squad, and I believe we have the most competitive in the world,” Al-Khelaifi said. “There is no excuse for him now; he has no choice but to remain.”

“What you as a media need to concentrate on is not just the bad side but the good side he will bring to the club,” Al-Khelaifi said, defending the club’s expenditure.

“We double-checked with our finance team and determined that we were able to sign him. Throughout it all, we keep financial fairness in mind, and we will always adhere to financial fairness laws.”
