While fans will likely be disappointed to expect a second season of WandaVision, there is good news on the horizon from Marvel TV: It seems that Loki is the kind of series that could last more than one season, according to Nate Moore, who is a producer on the show. The topic was discussed in an article about Disney’s decision to submit WandaVision to the Emmys as a limited series, as opposed to the more open drama category for Falcon and Winter Soldier. It seems that Loki is also planned as a possible sequel to the series.

Moore said the game has a complex mythology that could span multiple seasons. This is perhaps not surprising, as the show’s star, Tom Hiddleston, recently stated that the reason so many fans become attached to Loki is precisely because of the depth of the character and plot.

The story that comes to mind – and this is probably no secret – I think there are a lot of stories in Loki that are really irreverent and smart and cool, but also lend themselves to multiple seasons in a way that’s not unique, Moore told Indiewire. Tom Hiddleston does, I think, one of his best jobs in this series. It’s really amazing. I think of all the great things he has done, but this show will show such different sides and the true extent of his talent. I think this show will surprise a lot of people.

Hiddleston seems excited to return to Loki’s world, and while many fans believe the series will begin with a version of Loki escaping the events of Marvel’s The Avengers, it seems certain that his character’s entire story will take place in the main Marvel timeline in the series.

I want to keep the series fresh when it comes out, but it’s worth thinking about the [series] logo, which is refreshing and restorative, Hiddleston recently told Empire. Loki’s spelling font seems to be changing shape. Loki is the shapeshifter par excellence. His fickle nature makes it unclear whether he is a hero, villain or anti-hero. You don’t know if you can trust him. He literally and physically changes shape and becomes an Asgardian guardian or Captain America. Thor talks about his ability to turn into a snake.

Hiddleston added: I think the shape-shifting logo can give you an idea of Loki’s personality, the series, and the integration of disparate fragments of the many selves he can be, and perhaps the many selves we are. I found this very intriguing because I always thought Loki was a very complex construct. Who is this character who can wear so many masks, who can change his appearance and who changes his outer sensibilities seemingly in passing?

Loki will be the eleventh. Will premiere on Disney+ in June. If you haven’t signed up for Disney+ yet, try here.
