According to Marvel Creative Director Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios, which is making its television debut with an arsenal of original series announced for Disney+, is making the interconnected Marvel Cinematic Universe more exciting than ever. With WandaVision, the first series of Marvel Studios and the beginning of the fourth phase of the MCU, the Disney studio launches 10 projects for 2021, including the next Falcon series and the winter soldier, Loki and Hawkeye. In 2022 the universe will expand again and the list of newly announced titles includes Armor Wars, She-Hulk and Secret Invasion with Nick Fury.

The world of film weaves together the plots, heroes and villains of 23 feature films to date, said Fiege on Disney’s Investor Day 2020, where he announced an avalanche of new film and television projects. And with Disney+, we can expand this kind of storytelling into a new format – by creating series that integrate with our movies and make the MCU more engaging than ever.

After the return of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in WandaVision, which takes place in the wake of Avengers : The game is over: Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) are back in action in a world without Captain America (Chris Evans). Phase four also sees the return of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the Asgardian God of Errors, who leads his spin-off series before Marvel turns into the animated film What If?

Among the new characters who will make their debut next year are Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), the star of the series of the same name, the one with Brie Larson, the star of Captain Marvel 2 in 2022, and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), flanked by retired vigilante Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) in Hawkeye.

Upcoming projects include Ironheart, about a young genius (Dominic Thorne) who creates the most advanced armor since Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and Secret Invasion, about a cult of inverted turtles that infiltrate all levels of life on earth. Both series will be directly linked to the films of the MCU, Feige confirmed during a part of the Marvel presentation.
