Under the display of Lee’s work another fan writes: Happy Birthday Stan Lee, Thanks for making our childhood special with the characters and stories you’ve created for us…. May your soul rest in peace in heaven.

Lee’s life and career are already featured in the 2010 documentary With Great Power: Stan Lee’s story, and the next time he can explore his story is in an upcoming biopic. Recently it was revealed that a script about Lee and Marvel’s employee Jack Kirby called Excelsior! is blacklisted for 2020. The story, written by Alex Cauvery, follows the meteoric rise (and fall) of Marvel Comics and the star-studded creators behind the panel. As this is a non-production scenario, there is no guarantee at this stage that the film will be made.

In any case, the reactions on social media clearly show how much Stan Lee is loved, missed and remembered after his death. You can participate by sharing your own memories of Lee on social media with the hashtag #StanLee. A photo of Lee and RDJ was published on Instagram by Robert Downey Jr.

In the late 1960s, Stan Lee devoted space in his comics to condemning racism, intolerance and hatred – knowing that children would read them. Hope for the future. It’s an inheritance.
