Marvel Studios Head Reveals Why Old Spider-Man Movie Was Canceled
Drew Goddard is the lead screenwriter of Marvel’s upcoming superhero movie, Silver Sable and The Wild Pack. In an interview with Collider in April 2018, he said that “The old Spider-Man movies were a little too dark for our tastes.”

The “spider-man: no way home villain name” is the title of the next Spider-Man movie. The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, recently revealed why the old Spider-Man villains would be in this film.

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will face adversaries from the Spider-Man franchise’s history in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but not ones he has seen before. Spider-Man will face off against the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe, Spider-Man), Dr. Octopus (Alfred Molina, Spider-Man 2), Electro (Jamie Foxx, The Amazing Spider-Man 2), and more on December 17th. The adversaries come from the five Spider-Man theatrical films that came out before Holland’s debut, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stated in a recent interview that the selection was straightforward.

Marvel had a little role in the first two franchises, with Sony Pictures handling the most of the work. Marvel and Sony are co-developing the films in the current edition of the series, with Holland’s Spider-Man being a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I think if we’ve learned anything over the years, especially with the partnership between Disney and Sony to produce these movies together,” Feige told ScreenRant, “it’s that virtually anything is achievable if enough people believe in it and have a love for it.” “Starting with the disclosure of Peter Parker’s identity at the conclusion of Far From Home, we were instantly put on a path for things we’d never seen before in a Spider-Man film. That’s part of the excitement of filmmaking: doing something people haven’t seen before, and there are a lot of opportunities for wonderful things to happen in the MCU, and Dr. Strange would be a terrific conduit for that.”

J.K. Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson, the tabloid journalist for whom Peter works in most versions of the Spider-Man mythology, in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the 2019 installment in which J.K. Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson, the tabloid journalist for whom Peter works in most versions of the Spider-Man mythology. Jameson has been missing from both the Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Homecoming franchises.

The multiverse has been a component of superhero stories since Garner Fox and Carmine Infantino’s “The Flash of Two Worlds” in 1961, but live action has mostly avoided it until lately. The concept seems more like hard science fiction than most superhero tales, and it appeared for years that Hollywood didn’t think viewers would buy it. The popularity of The Flash, which first used the multiverse as a narrative technique in 2015, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) proven that assumption incorrect.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki, and What If…?, Marvel’s universe seems to be more open than ever before, leading to speculation that Garfield’s Spider-Man, as well as Tobey Maguire’s, may appear alongside Holland onscreen. There’s no a more sensible character for Marvel to begin exploring its infinite Earths with than Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was a financial triumph.

Sony and Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Benedict Cumberbatch, is set to hit cinemas on December 17.
