Some individuals slept the night at their businesses, while others stayed in hotels.

After learning that her neighborhood was without electricity, Wang Guirong, a 56-year-old restaurant manager, said she intended to sleep on the sofa in her restaurant.
‘I have lived in Zhengzhou all my life and have never witnessed such a severe downpour as today,’ she told a reporter.
The state grid acknowledged that there had been power disruptions throughout the city owing to damage to substations.
In China, flooding is a threat, and the nation has been struck by many catastrophic catastrophes throughout its history.
Last year, when torrential rains in the south displaced more than 700,000 people, more than 200 people were killed in the country’s worst floods in more than 20 years.
With Typhoon Cempaka making landfall in the coastal region of Guangdong Province in south China, China is bracing for additional severe weather today.
According to the Xinhua news agency, it is the seventh typhoon of the year, with gusts of up to 118.8 kilometers near its eye.
