The Sixers may have only won one game in their inaugural season, but one thing is undeniable: Ben Simmons is one of the most talented players in the league. He was chosen first overall in this year’s draft, and he’s already a star in the making. The 6’10” point guard is a phenomenal passer who has the ability to score in all facets of the game. With his length, athleticism and ability to draw fouls, you can see how Simmons will be a future All-Star.

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons was recently featured in an interview with ESPN, in which he talked about his growing fame and his future in the NBA. Simmons was asked, “What are the most challenging moments for you?” He answered, “Definitely the haters. When you’re a kid, when people are calling you names and telling you that you can’t play, it’s definitely frustrating. You can’t let it affect you too much, though. You’ve just got to ignore it.”

There’s a lot of talk about Ben Simmons being the savior of the Philadelphia 76ers and how he is going to get them back to the playoffs. But, Simmons is a player who takes very little criticism and sends that back in return.. Read more about where is ben simmons from and let us know what you think.

Philadelphia star Ben Simmons scored 22 points in Game 2 and the Sixers led 2-0 in the series.

Sometimes the best messages are the ones that go unspoken. Ben Simmons dominated the Philadelphia 76ers team in game two. They beat the Washington Wizards 120-95 and led 2-0 in the series.

Simmons probably would have had a triple-double if coach Doc Rivers hadn’t let his starters play the entire fourth quarter. The All-Star point guard missed only one rebound and two assists: 22 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists.

Simmons must be feeling good with 12 points in the first quarter, after being attacked all week by angry (read: stupid) Philly fans who complained about his six-point performance in Game 1. Never mind that Simmons filled the stats with 15 rebounds and 15 assists.

The 24-year-old had every reason to celebrate after the second game. He had every opportunity to do so. When some reporters tried to pressure him into responding harshly, Simmons took matters into his own hands. Well, mostly.

I’m not trying to hurt anyone in Philadelphia, Simmons told reporters Wednesday night. I thought it was hard to get 15 assists and 15 rebounds in the NBA, in the playoffs, and we won. So what do you want? Do you want to win or not? I don’t know.

I’m here to win and help my team win, no matter what, and I’m going to do that every night. I’m not trying to prove anyone wrong or anything. I’m going out there to do my job and win a championship.

Wait, are you telling me that all that unfair criticism didn’t fuel the fire in you to score 22 points today? Even after your head coach was forced to defend you publicly?

No, it didn’t motivate me, because what I did in the first game, my guys scored, Simmons said. Tobias [Harris] scored a goal. Joel [Embiid] scored. I mean, that’s what basketball is all about. If people are feeling it, you have to give them the ball.

And I’m not surprised that Doc [Rivers] said that, because Doc knows the game, and a lot of these people who say that have never touched a basketball and have never played at a high level. It would be like me telling you something about your job or your work.

Simmons threw himself on the mic one last time and turned the tables. He talked about the whole issue and added another layer to his strong case for defender of the year.

Ben Simmons became the first 76ers player in the last 25 seasons to play multiple halves in the playoffs with at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists (16-6-6 in the first half today).

Great performance by the Sixers!

Joel Embiid encouraged Simmons to attack

Simmons has always been the facilitator of the Sixers offense. His job is to read the defense and decide if he should be in offensive mode or if it makes more sense to find open players. When the Wizards unleashed double and triple teams on Sixers center Joel Embiid, it was easy to pick Simmons. And Embiid encouraged the star point guard to be aggressive from the start.

In the first game, he took what the defense gave him and made plays, released people. He had 15 assists, Embiid said. And today he saw that they weren’t going to leave me alone, and he saw that he had a lot of room in the one-on-one [with Bradley Beal], and he took advantage of it, and that’s great. We need him to stay aggressive and dominant.

Great two-way sequence from Ben Simmons.

Simmons said he appreciated the confidence the big man had in him. This is another manifestation of their growing and improving chemistry. He also noticed that defensively the Wizards were falling asleep as he chased the ball down the field.

It’s trust. I trust him, he trusts me, Simmons said of Embiid. It was one of those moments when I knew I had six points in the first game. I knew I had 15 assists, and they expected me to find my guys and give them throws, and they often fell asleep when I was on the court, so I had to take advantage of that. And that’s exactly what I did tonight.

Beal and Embiid exchanged words during the second game of.

Russell Westbrook was his usual pivotal figure – bickering with Dwight Howard and other players before leaving the game with an ankle injury. An unruly Sixers fan threw popcorn at him on his way through the tunnel to the locker room. This person has been deported and will likely be cautioned again. But Westbrook wasn’t the only Wizards player to cause problems.

In the third quarter, Bradley Beal was seen clinching with Embiid (a memory from the first game?) after he thought he had fouled on a shot. Nothing was mentioned, but Beale made his displeasure clear. And Embiid quickly and comically defused the tense situation.

He tried to complain that he wasn’t allowed to call, and I just told him to shut up because it wasn’t a foul, Embiid said. It’s okay, we’re having fun, we’re trying to dominate, so a little rub won’t hurt.

In fact, Embiid is hosting even more shots in Game 3 on Saturday night. He feels comfortable in this environment.

I like playing outside because people boo you and say bad things, Embiid said. For me personally, it means I play even better because I want to shut them up.

Trust the process. pic.twitter.com/bNOWsC4YnV
