On the day it was released, everyone was asking the same question: “Where is the TV show Citizen Lodge?” After spending a few weeks running around the city, we found the answer. Not only is Citizen Lodge a TV show, the city is actually a hotel.
While on a trip to his native America, Jared was touring the historical sites of Washington DC, including the Statue of Liberty, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building, Washington Monument, and the White House. He also toured the Kennedys’ home, the White House, and the Lincoln Memorial.
The town of Laveen, Arizona has always been the home of wild west legends and rumors. But the town is now the home to a modern mystery, and its connection to the legendary “Citizen Lodge” murder mystery that occurred in the 1940’s. Not long ago, a group of men from California discovered an old lodge in the desert that had been abandoned for a long time. Shortly after, it was discovered that the building was in the same general vicinity of the “Citizen Lodge”, as it was called in the 1940’s.

Reggie delivers a bag full of cash to Hiram in order to settle the amount Marty owes Hiram after bailing out his company. Hiram and Marty are now “square,” but Reggie wants to keep working for Hiram, so Hiram assigns him the job of delivering a gun. Marty learns about Reggie’s continuing job and confronts Hiram about it, but he is unsuccessful. When Reggie learns of this, he confronts Marty and disavows him for the brutality he has endured while working for him. Hiram tells Reggie about his own father-son connection.
When a businessman informs them about the Palladium reserves in Riverdale, a younger Hiram watches his father polish shoes in the big city in a flashback scene. Hiram’s family then relocated to Riverdale in order for him to work in the mines, which eventually collapsed and were shut down. Hiram’s mother found a job as a server at Pop’s, while his father returned to shoe polishing.
Hiram receives money from Vito, a mobster. Hiram invites Hermione out on a date the following day, but she declines because of Hiram’s family’s financial situation. Hiram starts making deliveries for Vito in return for a large sum of money, which raises Hiram’s father’s suspicions.
Hiram invites Hermione out for dinner at Pop’s, and the two discuss their goals and ambitions for getting out of Riverdale. Cops arrive to the restaurant and arrest Hiram for narcotics trafficking. Hiram gets bailed out of prison by Hermione, and Vito is pleased that Hiram did not reveal the operation. Vito offers him a promotion and a vehicle, which he uses to go on another date with Hermione. Hermione assists him in coming up with the name Hiram Lodge during the date. When Marty comments on Hiram for getting his name officially changed, he punches him up.
When Hiram’s father learns about his agreement with Vito, he threatens to contact the cops. When Vito learns of it, he sends his thugs after Hiram’s father, who is shot and killed in front of Pop’s. Hiram meets Hermione’s mother during the burial, and she apologizes for how she had previously criticized his father. Penelope passes judgment on Hermione because of Hiram’s connections to the mafia. When Vito comes at the burial, he convinces Hiram that he should continue to work for him. Hiram confronts several of Vito’s friends with the truth about his father’s death, then murders them. Hiram takes advantage of Vito’s decision to leave town and never return to make Riverdale his dominion.
Hiram explains that the jail was just a front for him to harvest palladium using convict labor, but that the output was insufficient. He informs Reggie that a bigger deposit is hidden under the Blossoms’ maple groves, and he requests that Reggie take him to Alto’s care home, where he murders him.
Hiram informs Reggie on the way back that he no longer needs his services and that he wants Reggie to have the regular life he never had. Reggie accepts his offer and makes amends with his father.
Hiram watches Real Housewives and hears Hermione and Veronica arguing that Hiram should have retired years ago. Hiram then contacts Hermosa, who assists him in covering up Vito’s murder, putting in action a plan for him to reclaim all he has lost.

Citizen Lodge was a short-lived (and low-budget) NBC television series that aired in the spring of 1982. It’s a quirky sci-fi series, with lots of quirky characters, that never really caught on. “Citizen” is a word that was widely used at that time to describe the general public, and a “lodge” is a fancy word for a home. However, the series was hardly a success, as it was neither particularly popular nor critically acclaimed.. Read more about riverdale vito and let us know what you think.

Nick Saban (head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team) was in Nashville last week to speak at the annual College Football Playoff revenue/expansion announcement, which included discussions about the playoff’s future and the benefits of expanding the format. The 10th ranked Crimson Tide are the defending national champions, and Alabama has won the last six years in a row.
The 2017 Alabama Crimson Tide are college football’s self-proclaimed best team and the final four in the College Football Playoff. Now, they are focused on winning another national championship. Today, we will take a look at some of the recent developments in college football, including the latest on the College Football Playoff and potential expansion, the National Interlocal League’s recent expansions, and a new report on the topic of child abuse in the NFL.
We’re at Week 14 of the College Football season — and now the College Football Playoff is set. Alabama, Clemson, LSU, TCU, Michigan State and Ohio State are now in the playoff mix. TUSCALOOSA, ALBERTA (AP) — The sport has never seen an offseason with so much upheaval, from a possible enlarged College Football Playoff to another round of conference realignment to athletes being able to earn off their name, image, and likeness for the first time.
During an exclusive interview with ESPN, Alabama coach Nick Saban, who has led the Crimson Tide to a record six national titles, addressed several of the significant changes in college football.
How has your team performed in terms of vaccinating players against COVID-19?
Our men have all been vaccinated save for one, but it may still be a problem. It’s said that if 90% of your staff gets vaccinated, you’ll be OK, but who knows? You don’t have to quarantine men if you’ve been vaccinated.
Are you optimistic that we’ll be able to return to full-capacity stadiums this season?
That decision must be made by someone else. Do you only admit individuals who have been vaccinated? Do you believe that anybody may attend the game at their own risk? I’m not sure what they’ll do with all of that information. I’d want to return to normalcy, but someone needs to make a choice about what is really safe.
What have you informed your athletes about how their name, image, and likeness may be used to make money?
“Hey, you’ve always been able to work,” I explain it to the player. Until a few years ago, virtually every player was employed. When we got to the point where we could pay for summer school and they received this additional money for cost of attendance, most of the men didn’t want to work. Some of the men would take internships or whatever they wanted, but they didn’t feel compelled to work. As I previously said, this is just another method for you to earn money by working.
You’re permitted to have representation for it, but the money you’ll earn on your name, image, and likeness will probably be a drop in the bucket compared to what you’ll make if you pursue a career as a player. As a result, you must prioritize and recognize that nothing is unusual about this. The more value you generate for yourself, the more possibilities you’ll have in terms of your name, image, and likeness, as well as opportunities at the next level. It all boils down to becoming the greatest player possible. If you’re preoccupied by it, you’re essentially punishing yourself.
You stated earlier this summer that quarterback Bryce Young had almost a million dollars in non-guaranteed contracts. Is it true that any of your other gamers are earning a lot of money from their NIL? Do you have concerns about inequity in the locker room?
Nobody else, I believe, is earning a lot of money, but the players who have a name are making a lot of money. My main issue is [gender equality in the locker room]. So far, I haven’t heard any [complaints]. “When you play in the NFL, nobody makes the same money,” I told our guys.
Everything has always been the same in college. That will not be the case any longer. Some positions and players will be given more chances than others, but it’s pointless to be jealous of them. You must generate as much value for yourself as possible. I’m not sure how it will impact individuals.
Alabama coach Nick Saban said, “When it comes to players transferring, “My philosophy has always been that if we hire a person who doesn’t fulfill our expectations, it’s our problem, not his. Why should he be punished for something he didn’t do?” Vasha Hunt is a sports reporter for USA TODAY.
How much effort does your team devote to teaching your athletes the difference between a good and poor NIL deal?
We have an entire staff dedicated to it, and they have to look at every transaction. Every transaction isn’t a good bargain, and you have to be sure you want your name linked with anything you do, I told the men.
Through the transfer link, your club added former Tennessee linebacker Henry To’o To’o. Georgia needed to fill gaps in its secondary, so the team recruited two defensive backs from West Virginia and Clemson. Is the transfer portal just going to exacerbate the divide between college football’s haves and have-nots?
We would have gotten more out of it if we had more room. We didn’t have much room since we had such a successful recruiting year. The greatest players, in principle, will not leave the finest programs. However, some individuals will wish to leave and attend the finest programs. Some [backend] [players] on your roster who don’t believe they’ll play may depart, but it won’t harm you too much.
I believe it will reduce rather than increase the number of chances available to athletes. Why would you recruit [high school] players when you can accept transfers, as some of the [Group of 5] institutions do? You are only allowed to transfer once. You know they’re going to be here if you receive 19 transfers. He may depart if I get a good [high school] player. Why would you go out of your way to attract high school players? That’s a lot of chances that high school students will miss out on.

How much more difficult is roster management now that the transfer site has been implemented?
Because there are only so many initial [scholarships], I believe it makes roster management very tough. They need to come up with a process for getting initials back, in my opinion. If you have a graduate transfer, I’ve always believed you should receive an initial back. You performed your job with the man; he graduated from high school and wants to play for a fifth year somewhere else. For that, you should receive an initial response. You should receive an early return if you have a player depart early for the NFL draft. That’s when I come to a halt.
Many people suggest you should acquire one for each man that departs, but if you do that, you’ll end up with a lot of running men. You could attempt to get every person on your squad who you felt wasn’t going to be a contribution out the door and replace him with someone else if you knew you were going to receive an initial for every guy who departed, every member you had on your team who you thought wasn’t going to be a contributor. That, in my opinion, is not healthy for athletes. That is not the sort of atmosphere I believe you want to foster.
We have guys that enjoy being here and are unconcerned about their position on the squad. You’re punishing them if you push them out the door. My view has always been that if we hire a man who doesn’t fulfill our expectations, it’s our problem, not his. Why should he be punished for something he didn’t do? I’m not sure how many coaches would see it that way if they’re trying to improve their squad.
The College Football Playoff is contemplating a 12-team expansion. What are your views on the addition of eight additional teams to the College Football Playoff?
I believe you should ask yourself a few questions about it. How essential are bowl games in college football, given that the larger the playoff grows, the less bowl games there will be? How many games are suitable for college students to play? How would you prioritize the calendar, given the possibility of playing 17 games if we have 12 teams in the playoff? Will you be playing fewer regular-season games? Are you going to exclude the SEC title game from the schedule? You might be looking at 17 games if you play 12 games and have [the SEC title game]. Will you be playing games during the dead week? Will you be playing games during finals week? Will you be playing games during the holidays? There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed, and it’s not just about whether or not a 12-team playoff is a good idea.
What are your thoughts on conference champions receiving automatic invitations to the College Football Playoff?
I don’t like the fact that the [Group of 5] conferences want their conference champions to be in the playoff. I coached at Toledo and we were conference champions. We sure as hell didn’t have any business playing Florida. That’s not the best teams. If you are going to do it, get the best teams. The other argument is are we getting the four best teams now? Is there somebody not getting in that could win? I think you could make an argument for Texas A&M [last season], but we beat them by [28] points. They had a good team.
That’s a question I’m not sure I can answer. I’m asking myself all the questions, and how does it fit? This isn’t the National Football League. “Alright, Alabama, if you want to sponsor a team, go grab the greatest players, and they don’t have to go to school, and we’ll pay them,” we should say if we want to be an NFL model. We’ll have a postseason and follow the NFL’s rules, but it won’t be the NFL.
But, with all of these changes, are we on our way to a college football paradigm similar to the NFL?
It seems to be the case. College football is a place for men to receive an education, and the more money we pay athletes, the less sports we’ll have. If we start paying players, we’ll only have nine sports instead of 21. There will be no golf squad, track team, or anything else. Then you’re removing possibilities for individuals who participate in non-profit sports.
The fact that collegiate sports is not a business is where everyone misses the boat. People who believe it’s a business have the incorrect idea, in my opinion. It generates money, yet no one benefits from it. When Wayne Huizenga bought the Dolphins for $500 million, he earned $50 million a year and sold the club for $950 million. That’s how business is done. In college, all you have to do is reinvest all of your earnings into other sports, infrastructure, and scholarships. There are more than 300 individuals that are eligible, not only 85 football players.
“Well, the coaches earn a lot of money,” the argument goes. Do we, on the other hand, generate value? Whether they pay me more or not, Alabama is earning more money than they ever did before I got here.
Do any of these changes have an impact on how long you want to coach?
There’s no denying that it’s different, and it’s going to alter a lot of things. You have to adapt to whatever the regulations are, in my opinion. Adapting is difficult, but you simply have to do it. It hasn’t convinced me that I don’t want to coach or that college football is a terrible sport. It’ll simply be different this time.
Oklahoma and Texas have accepted offers to join the SEC, with the first season beginning in 2025. How do you want the league to be organized after the Longhorns and Sooners join?
When you consider how our league is growing, you’ll notice that you’ll be playing more excellent teams. You’ll have to lose a few more games. What impact does this have on people’s chances of making the playoffs? You could play two divisions and three teams on the other side if we play 10 games in the SEC, which I would not be averse to [because] I’ve always wanted to play more SEC games. So you’re going to play everyone every two and a half years. If they want to remain at eight or nine, they should do the pods [of four teams], which means you’ll only have three set opponents and will play five or six teams from different regions or pods. In three years, you’d have played everyone.
If SEC schools play nine or ten SEC games and the playoff is extended, Group of 5 and FCS institutions will have fewer chances to arrange guaranteed matchups, which help supplement a significant part of their athletic budgets. Is this anything that worries you?
I’m not even against giving them money so that they can run programs. However, no one wants to come to some of these games, and the players are beginning to refuse to participate in them, just as they refuse to play in bowl games. How many players refuse to participate in a bowl game? How many players did Florida have who hadn’t been in a bowl game the previous season? None of this is good for college football, and I don’t believe it is healthy for the kids.
They won’t be able to have programs if we don’t play these schools in terms of revenue sharing. They probably wouldn’t be able to keep their program going if they didn’t be paid $1.6 million to come play these games. You’ll simply keep reducing the number of chances for players to participate. I don’t really want to play such schools, but they need funds. We still need to work out some kind of income sharing arrangement with them, otherwise they won’t have any programs. Nobody wants to do that, but you’ll end up with a lot of kids who won’t be able to go to college, receive scholarships, or play sports. I don’t believe everyone considers the big picture. “OK, you’re earning all this money in football,” people say, but they don’t look at where it all goes.

After a South LA firework explosion killed a man, and injured his wife and two children, prosecutors expect one of the fireworks party’s organizers to plead guilty to a charge of causing the explosion, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
A man believed to be responsible for a fireworks explosion in South Los Angeles that injured seven people over the Fourth of July holiday is expected to plead guilty to the charges against him. The explosive device exploded on July 4th in a residential area near the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue, causing minor damage to a home. The explosion was caused by fireworks that were set off in a residential area.
The suspect accused of setting off fireworks that resulted in a fire that burnt down a vehicle-pimping business in South Los Angeles has been sentenced to four years in state prison. Prosecutors say Eddie Ray Gaines on Monday pleaded guilty to one felony count of arson, while a separate charge of attempted murder was dismissed. Authorities say Gaines lit fireworks that set ablaze a vehicle-pimping business in February 2012 killing 3 people.. Read more about fireworks accident and let us know what you think.
(CBSLA) – LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A 26-year-old South Los Angeles man has agreed to plead guilty to federal charges of unlawfully carrying tons of explosives, including hazardous handmade fireworks that resulted in a botched explosion in South Los Angeles in June that injured 17 people.
According to the case docket, Arturo Ceja III will plead guilty in federal court in Los Angeles to a federal allegation of carrying explosives without a license.

According to the US Attorney’s Office, Ceja intended to sell pyrotechnics around the neighborhood in honor of the Fourth of July holiday.
According to the federal complaint, the 26-year-old traveled to Nevada in late June to buy a variety of explosives, including aerial displays and big handmade pyrotechnics containing explosive ingredients, which he drove back to his house in rental vehicles.
The majority of the explosives were bought from Area 51, a Pahrump, Nevada-based fireworks retailer. According to the lawsuit, pyrotechnics in California may cost up to four times as much as those purchased in Nevada.
According to the complaint, Ceja informed detectives that he bought the homemade explosives — comprised of cardboard paper, hobby fuse, and explosive flash powder — from a person selling them out of the trunk of a Honda in the Area 51 parking lot.
According to an affidavit prepared by a special agent with the federal bureau and attached to the complaint, “Ceja did not possess an ATF explosives license or permit of any kind that would authorize him to transport either aerial display fireworks or homemade fireworks made with explosive materials, including but not limited to flash powder.”
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department went to Ceja’s home on East 27th Street on June 30 after receiving a report that pyrotechnics were being stored in his garden. Officers reportedly discovered more than 500 crates of professional grade pyrotechnics in big cardboard boxes at the residence.
Local police believed that 5,000 pounds of pyrotechnics were discovered during their first inquiry. The ATF then discovered that Ceja was really keeping 32,000 pounds of pyrotechnics in his backyard “in a hazardous manner,” according to the complaint, “particularly beneath unsecured tents and near to cooking grills.”
Sarah Trueway Lin, 41, has been reported missing in Cerritos.
According to the affidavit, the initial search of Ceja’s home turned up more than 140 homemade fireworks — typically referred to as M devices of varying sizes — as well as explosives-making components, including hobby fuses that matched the fuse on a homemade mortar shell wrapped in tin foil discovered inside the home.
The bungled fireworks explosion on June 30 damaged an LAPD complete containment truck. (CBSLA)
While the fireworks were being removed from Ceja’s home, an LAPD bomb squad determined that some of the homemade fireworks containing explosive materials were too dangerous to transport due to the risk of detonation in a densely populated area, and that they would be destroyed on the spot with a total containment vessel.
The whole vessel burst during the disposal of the devices, sending 17 people and first responders to the hospital and causing damage to 22 homes, 13 businesses, and 37 cars.
So far, 14 families have been allowed to reclaim their houses in South Los Angeles. For households awaiting structural repairs, the city has leased 29 long-term apartments.

As a consequence of the explosion, the LAPD has started adopting new protocols, including requiring the presence of a commanding officer for future detonations.
The City Council unanimously requested that the agency provide a report on the “failed operation” and how the public would be better safeguarded in the future. The City Attorney’s Office was also told to make sure that individuals who suffered property damage or injuries were fairly compensated.
As of July 28, the office has received 145 claims for money damages, with 62 still pending.

Hello, I’m Ashline, and I work for a small movie/tech blog called Ashline. We don’t cover too many games, but we do review a few every now and then. I put this article together for those of you who are still looking for a new game, or who are just curious what’s being released in the near future.
Cyberpunk 2077, the next game from CD Projekt RED, is due to be released in April next year. The developers of the hugely successful Witcher series have announced that the game will be coming to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In the meantime, however, they’ve released a new trailer, which is a lot more than just a sneak peek. It’s a full-length gameplay trailer, showing off some of the game’s cyberpunk themes in a way we’ve never seen before.
After the release of the critically-acclaimed Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, many players have been speculating on whether the anticipated follow-up to the original The Witcher 3 will live up to the hype. CD Projekt Red has been relatively quiet in the lead-up to the game’s release, leaving many to wonder whether it will offer solid DLC, or disappoint. ** On the 19th of May 2017, I was messing around with my Twitter and came across a tweet that said “Sorry to break it to you but Cyberpunk isn’t coming out this year. It’s been delayed.” I then replied to the tweet with “I always thought it was going to be delayed. I guess I’ll play The Witcher. Read more about is cyberpunk 2077 worth it and let us know what you think.

Cyberpunk’s Final Days Until I heard about the new patch and free DLC, I had nearly forgotten about Cyberpunk 2077. Like many others, I cancelled my pre-order last year with the intention of purchasing it later when it was repaired (and cheaper). It’s definitely less expensive today, but considering how many repairs are included in the most recent patch, I’m not certain that’s all there is to it.
Can anybody tell me how well the game currently runs on a standard PlayStation 4 with the latest patch? Given that it can currently be obtained for about £20 on eBay, I suppose I’ll give it a go anyway, although I’m just as concerned about wasting my time as I am about squandering my money.
It’s hilarious how other businesses clearly believed cyberpunk would become a huge thing, but CD Projekt completely ruined it. However, I don’t believe the genre will be given a second opportunity, particularly after the failure of Blade Runner 2049. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the risk of hype. If you have the money, drumming up interest in something isn’t difficult, but you must follow through and create a decent product. I’m interested to see how close Cyberpunk 2077 comes to that. Focus
The opposing viewpoint I heard the next Call of Duty game would be based on the Eastern Front. Is this true? I believe a campaign where you rotate between the Axis and Allied Powers would be very fascinating. The fall of Berlin would be a fantastic backdrop for the game’s conclusion. SS troops from all across Europe battle to the death because they have no other choice, while the Red Army goes door to door inflicting revenge on the German people.
The Last Panther was a novel I read once. It is said to be a real story of some German tank crews choosing to drive and battle for hundreds of kilometers to get to the American lines to surrender after being encircled by the Soviets. I felt that would be a fantastic location for a game at the time. Yes, playing as the Nazis is a challenge. But, let’s face it, they were terrible. But, then again, so were the Russians, and we’ve got plenty of games in which you play as them.
I’d even be interested in playing a game in which you play as the Taliban or something. For a change of pace, here’s something unusual. Chris Hard is a character in the film Chris Hard
GC: Just because something is different doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. The Last Tiger, a narrative task in Battlefield 5, is probably the closest you’ll get.
Rise of the Monster Catcher In the Pokémon Presents, Pokémon Legends: Arceus looked a little better, but I’m still not sure it’ll be as amazing as Monster Hunter or Zelda. It should be simple to go from killing to catching monsters, but I have little confidence in Game Freak’s ability to create anything as excellent as Monster Hunter Rise, much alone something that pushes the Switch as hard.
It also seems a little strange to have turn-based fighting. It works in Dragon Quest, but that game has the fighting on a separate screen, while Pokémon seems to be completely out in the open. We’ll see whether it works, but if Game Freak pulls it off, they’ll have turned a big corner, and I’ll have a lot more faith in the mainstream sequels in the future. After Sword and Shield, confidence is at an all-time low. Gosling

Destined for disaster I was hoping someone on here may be able to help…?
Destiny 2 has been crashing on my Xbox Series X for the last several days. Started with a controller disconnect, followed by the game freezing (which needed a power down cycle to recover), and now has bypassed all of that to go directly to a ‘green screen of death,’ which requires a power down cycle to recover.
I attempted an uninstall and reinstall (which took several hours) since someone suggested it as a solution… However, there was no luck.
I couldn’t find any assistance on the Bungie forums… However, there are a few more individuals experiencing same or very similar problems (no means to contact Bungie support outside of their forums).
It’s strange that it appeared out of nowhere and not after an update…
Any ideas, in any case, would be much welcomed. WoDMaN
GC: That’s strange. We’d say it sounded like the console was on its way out, but if other people are experiencing the same issue, it’ll almost certainly need a patch to solve. Have you tried following Bungie Help on Twitter?
Rollback by Namco The Namco Rolling Thunder series was a popular run-and-gun shooter that was highly regarded in North America and the United Kingdom. I was curious if anybody would be open to Namco rebooting the game with the assistance of an independent development team.
Although Rolling Thunder 2 was released on the Sega Mega Drive, the original game was released in arcades. It would be fantastic to see a new Rolling Thunder game from Namco, especially since so many famous game series have recently been rebooted. Personally, I would welcome a return of Rolling Thunder on the PlayStation 5, Xbox One X, and PC.
My personal favorite was Rolling Thunder 2, which was always entertaining to play and had a fantastic soundtrack. Be rotting, gaz (gamertag)
GC: We’d love to see it come back. A new Shinobi, with gameplay that is quite comparable, would be much better — and is definitely more probable.
We Have Been Inspire Epic Games has a terrible attitude about Among Us. It’s not unusual for someone to just clone a popular game, but the map indicates they put the bare minimum effort into the entire thing. Coming from a business that ran a ludicrous anti-Apple smear campaign, this proves they’re no better, and in this case, possibly worse.
Why not strike a deal with Innersloth if they were really talking to him? It’s not like the two games are competitors, especially when they ran a full campaign for Borderlands, which is a comparable game. Did they just believe Innersloth was a tiny business to which they could do anything they pleased?
Wasn’t there also a rip-off of Crazy Taxi, now that I think about it? Battle royale may be too broad a concept to copyright, or whatever, and whatever sort of game you name Among Us, because it’s essentially Mafia, but Crazy Taxi was a very particular idea that they just copied without giving Sega any credit.
To be honest, the Steam Deck irritated me as well, not so much because it was such an apparent rip-off of the Switch, but because of the way Valve spoke about it as if it were some brilliant new concept, while simultaneously slamming Nintendo and their accomplishments. Get a freaking idea! Cranborne
Services for students I have no plan of purchasing the Zool remaster, but I would want to commend Sumo for their student program. I’m not sure whether it happens all the time, but I’ve never seen it acknowledged as the creator of a game. I’m sure it was a fantastic start for their careers, and it’s amusing to see them attempting to make something meaningful out of a crappy old Amiga game.
I had the game back in the day, but I already knew it was a dud. Graphics and advertising are great, but the game is terrible. Nowadays, you don’t really get it with games (though it does happen a lot with movies), but back then, paying full price was a much larger risk. Syndo

Filmed games It’s nice to see how much James Gunn enjoys gaming, and that his work on Lollipop Chainsaw, which I suppose was one of the lowest moments of his career in terms of money, is still something he considers and values. I haven’t watched The Suicide Squad and probably won’t till it becomes available for free someplace, but I understand what he’s talking about in the trailer.
It got me wondering about what the greatest game-themed film is that isn’t based on a particular game. Free Guy, who I recently saw, is a clear example. I didn’t like for it, but then again, I’m not a huge Ryan Reynolds fan and didn’t expect to. It did, however, clearly understand gaming, and I liked how different it was from the way games were portrayed 20 or even 10 years ago.
The greatest, in my opinion, is Edge Of Tomorrow/Live Die Repeat, which, apart from being a great action film, also embraces the logic of trial and error gaming, in which you die often, learn a little more, and then die again. A few films, such as Boss Level, make use of this idea, and it’s interesting to note that it’s a really old school method of playing games that you won’t find in any contemporary game save maybe Dark Souls.
All that counts is that the film is superior, which is why I believe Edge Of Tomorrow is the greatest, but I’d choose any of the others over a direct adaptation. Grunner

Recently, a New York Jets quarterback went to a Packers game with another QB, and took some time during the game to give Aaron Rodgers some props.
People thought that Zach Wilson was a big fan of Aaron Rodgers when he was best friends with the Green Bay Packers quarterback.
When you think of the New York Jets, you think of a team with a high winning percentage and a lot of future franchise quarterbacks. Zach Wilson is no exception. A talented rookie, he’s only thrown 16 passes in his two-year career. His performance against the Green Bay Packers was a welcome sign of the future, though.
After meeting Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the first time during a joint practice Wednesday in Green Bay, New York Jets rookie Zach Wilson, who grew up idolizing him, was undoubtedly starstruck. James Morgan, a second-year quarterback with the Jets who played high school football in Green Bay, was in the same boat.
“James is a die-hard fan. He was becoming a bit jittery “Wilson told reporters after practice with a smile. “I’m a huge fan as well. We’re all supposed to act as though we’ve been there before. We’re having a great time simply being out here and talking to him.”
Wilson stated he was a “100%” Rodgers fan as a child, but he subsequently declared that Tom Brady, with his seven Super Bowl titles, is the greatest quarterback of all time.

During a special teams time, Wilson and Rodgers convened on the field, with Rodgers giving advice on how to run a two-minute drill.
“We’re all in the NFL now, so we’re theoretically on the same level, but we’re all still like, ‘You know what? Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback. That’s a little insane,’ says the narrator “Wilson said.
Wilson’s playing style, especially his propensity to create off-schedule plays, has attracted parallels to Rodgers’. He was chosen second overall by the Jets, who thought he had star potential — but there’s a big difference between potential and becoming one of the all-time greats.
Because Rodgers is so talented and clever, Wilson admits it’s “challenging” to watch him.
“I want to do what he’s doing,” she says, “but when you’ve had 16 years of experience, and the checks and calls he’s making on the field…
On Wednesday, when the Jets were in Green Bay for joint practices with the Packers, Zach Wilson met Aaron Rodgers for the first time. Matt Ludtke/Associated Press
“First and foremost, the coaches do not want me to do that. Someone’s plate is overburdened. There aren’t many players in the league who are capable of recognizing what’s going on and altering plays like he is.”
Wilson claimed he talked with Rodgers a couple of times over the summer, when Rodgers’ agent was courting the former BYU star as he prepared to enter the draft. Wilson ultimately decided to work for a different firm.
Wilson claimed he was a good quarterback as a kid in Corner Canyon, Utah “Because he’s done it the correct way for so long, I’ve always tried to emulate what he’s done. He’s simply a lot of pleasure to watch play.”
Wilson made mental notes as he watched Rodgers do a two-minute exercise, observing that he seemed to be in good shape “cool and composed It seemed as though he was simply playing about. He’s having a wonderful time playing backyard football, and he manages to make it work.”
The two teams will train again on Thursday before meeting at Lambeau Field on Saturday. Wilson is anticipated to play a couple series after a good preseason debut against the New York Giants.
Rodgers remarked after practice, “Zach’s a terrific kid.” “Seeing him is entertaining.”
When questioned about Morgan, Rodgers said he had no idea the second-year quarterback was from the region.
“Was he in Ashwaubenon?” The high school is 1.4 miles from Lambeau Field, according to Rodgers. “That was completely unknown to me. I honestly didn’t think so.”
Wilson, who was just 6 years old when Rodgers debuted in the NFL in 2005, seems to wish he could have stayed in the league longer.
“I would spend more time with him and continue to ask questions,” he added.
Rob Demovsky of ESPN contributed to this story.
New York Jets QB Zach Wilson recently caused a stir on social media when he referred to Green Bay Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers as a “fanboy” and said he would have never signed up for the opportunity the second time around. Wilson, a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, went 3-3 as a starter in his first season with the Jets, and was plagued by poor accuracy and inconsistent play throughout the season. After the season, Wilson was asked if he would have signed with the Jets in the second round if they were still selecting, to which he responded, “I would not have signed up for that opportunity. I would not have signed up for that.”. Read more about aaron rodgers number and let us know what you think.

College football is a deep and diverse game that is always evolving, and while we may not be granted the ability to watch every game in the the limited time we have spent in college, we can still find hints of the future season. This past week, I took myself on a road trip from Nashville to Provo, UT, to see the BYU Cougars take on the Utah Utes.
I was contemplating writing this article about a year ago, but never got around to it. It was a fun exercise, though, mapping out a trip across the country to watch each college football game of the 2021 season. There will be changes to the playoff format, but I didn’t think any of them were going to make much of a difference to where you could go and where you could watch games. Here is the ultimate road trip, complete with how to get to each place and what to do while you are there.
Have you been on a road trip where you’ve seen some of the best sights of the country? Have you done the same with college football? Well, if you’ve ever been to a game near a stadium that you’ve never been to, then you likely have a lot of sights that you’ve seen—and that you will never see again.. Read more about follow concept football and let us know what you think.

College football’s appeal extends well beyond the field, and even beyond the raucous crowds and electrifying stadiums. There are also road excursions, tailgating, and parties to look forward to. Visiting the local restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood of your favorite team or arch-rival may be just as much fun as the game itself — or perhaps more so, depending on the final result.
To that end, we’ve put together a week-by-week guide to the perfect college football road trip, emphasizing the must-see places for food, drink, and celebration — as well as some excellent games — along the route. (It’s a nasty job, but it has to be done.)
So gather your belongings, fill up the gas tank, and make preparations for a once-in-a-lifetime road trip.
A vacation to Virginia Tech is like a relaxing mountain retreat, complete with a little Metallica and a few strong drinks. A three-step prep-enjoy-recovery strategy is the best way to make the most of your stay in Blacksburg. The day before the big game, the preparation starts. Dinner at The Cellar or Rivermill, or the Blacksburg Wine Lab, led by renowned professor John Boyer, will offer essential nourishment in a more gentle setting. Then go to Sharkey’s on Main Street, where the drinks are inexpensive and the terrace is always packed. Top of the Stairs, a New Orleans-style institution that serves Blacksburg’s most famous beverage, The Rail, should be the final stop on Friday. It’s been characterized as “Self Hatred with a dash of Sprite” on Reddit. (Note: This isn’t the best time to do this before a 12:00 start.) If you eat it, you do it at your own peril.)

Game day is all about tailgating, but don’t forget to stop by Carol Lee Donuts for a morning treat before going to the stadium. It’s a friendly bunch, so expect to meet some new friends. On Center Street, the atmosphere is usually a raucous mix of student tailgates, while more adult-oriented parties occupy the lots close to Lane Stadium, with the areas around the dormitories acting as valuable real estate. Bring some beverages for you and your new neighbors to share. The key to all of this is arriving to your seats at least 30 minutes before kickoff because you won’t want to miss the most famous stadium entrance in college football when the Hokies enter the field to “Enter Sandman” and the whole stadium shakes as the crowd erupts in applause. Sundays are ideal for recharging, whether it’s with a fatty breakfast at Joe’s Diner or a relaxing tube ride through New River Junction. Make a few journeys. There is a complimentary shuttle service back to the hotel. Also, bring a couple extra beverages in case you make new pals. ‘David Hale’
Because there are so many choices in Columbus, this schedule is likely to be contested by locals. There is no such thing as an incorrect response, and you’ll most likely need a few days to digest all there is to eat. When I go to Columbus, though, my usual routine begins with breakfast at Super Chef’s, where they think breakfast is an art form. To prepare a makeshift chicken and waffles, I buy Cinnamon Toast Crunch waffles and add chicken. They’re cinnamon sugar waffles with Cinnamon Toast Crunch flakes on top, and they’re delicious. After that, I go to Hot Chicken Takeover for some Nashville hot chicken for lunch. You may choose your meat and then the level of heat; I typically get the hot drumsticks with mac & cheese and coleslaw. After that, you’ll probably need to relax, but when it’s time for dinner, I like to play tourist every now and then, and there’s nothing more touristy than heading to The Thurman Cafe and ordering a Thurmanator hamburger. It’s a 12-ounce burger with bacon, cheddar, and another 12-ounce patty, onions, mushrooms, ham, mozzarella, and American cheese, with a pickle on top. To round out your day, pay a visit to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and marvel at the variety of delectable scoops on offer. Tom VanHaaren (Tom VanHaaren)
The Swamp (not the actual football stadium) should always be the first destination while visiting Gainesville for a game. But save that information until 2022, when the venerable Swamp reopens in a new site. Instead, visit The Salty Dog Saloon, a University Avenue institution that has been serving beverages and cuisine since 1962. From the O’Dome parking lot to the furthest point on campus, Norman Hall, which is a good 15- to 20-minute walk from the stadium, there are plenty of places to soak in the tailgating scene. As the squad enters the stadium, get in line early for the Gator Walk. Don’t forget to stop by Satchel’s Pizza, a short drive from school, for a slice and homemade soda (or whatever beverage you like). Inquire about eating in the blue VW van that has been transformed. Andrea Adelson’s remark
It’s incredible to see over a thousand cadets march onto the field at Michie Stadium. USA Today Sports/Danny Wild
It makes no difference which team Army is up against: Attend a game at Michie Stadium, one of the finest sports grounds in the country. Michie is unlike any other college football setting, since it was built in 1924 on the banks of the Lusk Reservoir with vistas of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York. The leaves will be changing color, and the campus, which is full of beautiful buildings and is located on an active military post, will be a national historic monument. The gates open six hours before kickoff, giving you plenty of time to take it all in. The parking areas are a little out of the way, and shuttle buses start operating four and a half hours before kickoff. If the weather cooperates, a full-dress cadet march takes place three hours before kickoff, and Black Knights Alley opens with live music, food and drink tents, and kid’s activities. To watch 1,000 cadets enter the field and the national anthem performed, you’ll want to be in your seat with 20 minutes to spare. A group of cadets then leaps out of a helicopter and parachutes down to the middle of the field with the game ball as a last reminder that you’re watching America’s Team. Dave Wilson is an author.
Auburn vs. LSU, Week 5 Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Begin by taking a trip around campus, stopping to see Mike the Tiger in his cage. How often do you get to witness a real tiger mascot only steps away from a football stadium? It’s well worth the detour. After that, go to Fleur de Lis for some Louisiana-style pizza. You didn’t know Louisiana pizza existed, did you? It’s cheesy, rectangular, and magnificent. It’s difficult to go wrong with seafood, whether it’s a po-boy at Parrain’s or oysters at Drago’s. On game day, though, don’t eat too much breakfast since tailgating on campus begins early and will keep you going until kickoff, whether it’s delicious gumbo, smoked sausage, or even alligator. In Baton Rouge, hospitality means feeding everyone under the tent, so don’t be afraid to walk around and make friends. Alex Scarborough’s remark
The Texas State Fair includes a massive Ferris wheel, an incredible array of fair cuisine, and, of course, the Texas-Oklahoma game. USA TODAY Sports/Kevin Jairaj
Sure, you’ll be seeing a heated rivalry in a big metropolis. This excursion, however, is solely focused on Fair Park in South Dallas. Since 1929, the Longhorns and Sooners have faced off in the midst of the Texas State Fair, which lasts 24 days. (As Texans, we feel obligated to point you that this is the country’s longest-running fair.) Big Tex, the world’s largest cowboy, will welcome you, as will the Texas Star, a 212-foot-tall Ferris wheel that provides beautiful vistas of the city, including a bird’s-eye perspective inside the Cotton Bowl. The fair cuisine, on the other hand, is another highlight of the weekend. You must first consume a Fletcher’s Corny Dog before proceeding to the crazy scientists’ laboratory to discover what kind of unholy concoctions they have in store for you. The deep-fried seafood gumbo balls or the deep-fried I-35 (see a theme? ), which is a Czech pastry called a kolache stuffed with smoked brisket, covered with a peach/Dr Pepper sauce and garnished with peach slices, are among the prize contenders this year. Try the deep-fried Halloween, which is a big pretzel topped with sweet corn syrup, buttercream frosting, caramel and chocolate drizzle, and lots of Halloween candy. Just the thing to keep your blood sugar up in the midst of one of college football’s most intense rivalries, with the two teams split straight along the 50-yard line. Wilson’s words
There are few better places to spend a Saturday in the fall than Oregon’s Autzen Stadium. It’s a destination that belongs on every college football fan’s bucket list and provides a game-day experience that is unique in the Pac-12. Eugene, a city of more than 100,000 people, doesn’t have the college town vibe that exists at Washington State and Oregon State, but there is a much more intimate charm than in the major metropolitan areas around the conference. So there are plenty of bars, restaurants and tailgating spots to host a sold-out game, while still generating the game-day buzz around town that gets lost in larger cities. If the sports bar scene is your preference, give Sam’s Place Tavern across town a try (there’s a game-day shuttle to the stadium) or check out Trev’s Sports Bar & Grill just across the Willamette River near campus. If you’re looking for a tailgate, it won’t be hard to find one. Thousands of people will be posted up around Autzen. Walk around, meet new friends and there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself taken care of. — Kyle Bonagura
Week 8 features a doubleheader!
There’s a solid argument that Boone, North Carolina, is the greatest college town that most college football fans are unaware of. It’s a mountain town with a fantastic beer and food culture, as well as a game-day atmosphere that matches anything in the Group of Five (and probably is better than a number of the big boys too). Take a walk down King Street and stop into Macado’s or Melanie’s for some before food and entertainment, or go over to Booneshine Brewing Company for some of the finest craft beers in town. Then, for a big game, go over to the tailgate, which takes up almost every open area on campus. The Library Deck is the best location, but ask around and a local can direct you to Big C’s tailgate on River Street. It’s a legend. However, get to the stadium in time for kickoff. The mountain background is breathtaking, and the atmosphere before kickoff is electrifying. Grab a burger at the Come Back Shack after the game before celebrating (or drowning your sorrows) at The Annex, where the celebration will continue late into the night. But don’t let your trip to campus stop there. Blowing Rock, only a short drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, boasts a fantastic restaurant scene, including Woodlands Barbecue and The Speckled Trout, which has an excellent beer and wine selection. Then burn some calories on one of the many beautiful treks available. Just remember to drink plenty of water. -Hales
If you want something simple yet excellent, Rocco’s pizza is the way to go. They describe their cuisine as “comfort food, Italian style,” and they are correct. If you’re in the mood for a burger, go to CJ’s Pub and get a five-ounce, ten-ounce, or twenty-ounce burger. The Golden Domer is the name given to the 20-ouncer for obvious reasons. If you’re searching for traditional American cuisine or unusual beer choices, the Evil Czech Brewery is a wonderful place to go. You wouldn’t think you’d find excellent barbecue in Northwest Indiana, but The Prized Pig is a fantastic choice. Tippecanoe Place, a restaurant in a house constructed in the 1800s, offers a more upscale experience. VanHaaren (VanHaaren)
The tailgate between Florida and Georgia, dubbed the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party,” usually lives up to its title. AP Photo/Curtis Compton/Atlanta Journal-Constitution
This series is still dubbed “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” for a reason. The drinking begins early (in many instances, days early), and the beverages flow like the St. Johns River, which flows through Jacksonville. Reason No. 2: The tailgate lots around the stadium have far too many parties to count. To be honest, you don’t really need a lot to have a good time. Along the river, people often have parties on their boats. Alumni groups from both colleges have their own tailgates in between the orange and blue or red and black vehicles and RVs, and there is live music wherever you turn. Three days before kickoff, the partying begins at the RV parks. Even though TIAA Bank Field has a capacity of 67,000, the tailgating scene attracts twice as many people every year. That, in fact, is the greatest counsel. Grab a drink, take a stroll around the parking lots, meet some new acquaintances, and take it all in. — Sheldon Adelson
When you visit Tuscaloosa, embrace the memories. Take a stroll along the Walk of Champions. The Bryant Museum is a great place to spend some time. Order country ham and red-eye gravy with biscuits and sit at Paul “Bear” Bryant’s table for breakfast at the famous Waysider Restaurant. It’s impossible to miss. It’s the one with Bryant’s bust in the front. Get some barbeque at Dreamland or Archibald’s, two of the town’s famous establishments. I’m not going to go into the contentious argument over which is better — they’re both fantastic — but if you have the opportunity, go to their original sites. Finally, stop by Gallettes for a renowned Yellow Hammer drink before heading to Bryant-Denny Stadium for the game. Scarborough, North Yorkshire
If you like classic Southern literature and run-on sentences, Oxford is the place to go for a dose of William Faulkner nostalgia. The spirit of Mississippi’s most renowned writer may be found all throughout the state. But don’t worry if that’s not your thing. Whether at the renowned Ajax Diner, City Grocery, or Big Bad Breakfast, the cuisine is excellent. The Saturday tailgate, though, is the true star of the show. No one does tailgating like Ole Miss, and I mean no one. It’s like taking a trip back in time as you stroll into the Grove. Men in suits, ladies in gowns, and chandeliers dangling from pop-up tents are all present. It may seem like the scene is overpowering what should be the primary event at times, which is why you’ll frequently hear something along the lines of, “We may not win every game, but we’ve never lost a party.” Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Campus Corner, a 1917 commercial area, is the highlight of Norman’s game-day experience. It’s packed with shops, restaurants, and bars, including Othello’s, which houses Barry Switzer’s renowned “table of truth,” and the Greek House, a classic diner founded by Greek immigrants in 1979 and known for its hot yogurt sauce. Visit the Legends Lobby inside the Barry Switzer Center on the south side of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for a taste of history and to witness firsthand how dominant one of the sport’s top programs was. The Sooners’ five Heisman trophies are on display, as are statues honoring four coaches with more than 100 victories at OU, the only school in the nation to do so: Switzer, Bob Stoops, Bud Wilkinson, and Bennie Owen. Finally, a trip to Benvenuti’s, an elegant Italian restaurant in downtown Norman where Switzer first met Riley when the young Riley was the new offensive coordinator for Stoops, would allow you to see whether you’re just as much of a gamer as current Sooners coach Lincoln Riley. Riley claims that the evening was filled with numerous tales and a few too many glasses of Switzer Family Vineyards wine, despite a 5:30 a.m. practice the following morning, which Riley proudly claims he made. Wilson’s words
If you’re going to an Ann Arbor game and like cuisine, I recommend coming in on Wednesday and eating until Saturday or Sunday. There are so many options and so many locations to see that you can’t go wrong. Fresh, creative sandwiches on housemade bread are a mainstay at Zingerman’s. Mr. Spots, which serves cheese steaks and wings, is also popular. If you’re craving a burger, Krazy Jim’s Blimpy Burger has been around for almost 70 years and is still going strong. You are probably on the way to work right now, as your job calls on you to leave the house and go to the office. If you do this every day, you will eventually need to start dressing for work. If you are like most people, you probably don’t think much about what you wear when you leave your house in the morning. You just got out of the shower, you had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and a cup of coffee. You don’t think about what you are going to wear until you get to work.
For over 15 years I’ve been wearing suits—and I’ve tried just about every type of pant, trouser and shirt in the world. I’ve tried every fabric in every color imaginable. And while I do have a collection of pieces that I’ve worn for years that have become mandatory staples in my wardrobe, I have lots of items that have only been in my collection for a few months or less.
Your work wardrobe should feel like a second home, rather than an environment that can be stifling and intimidating. And there’s no better way to establish a regular routine than by having a well-fitted work wardrobe. This wardrobe should have specific pieces that you can wear to different events throughout the week. A well-fitted work wardrobe will help keep you warm and comfortable, and it’ll allow you to feel more confident while you’re at work.

As we bid farewell to the WFH-era style that has dominated the last year (read: sweatpants and leggings), we welcome back an office-friendly outfit. With many of us returning to an in-person workweek, there will certainly be a lot to get accustomed to and comfortable with once again. Fortunately, dressing up doesn’t have to be so difficult.
According to Liz Teich, a professional stylist located in New York City, “dressing for an office environment may be more motivating to get work done.” “It can also communicate professionalism when interacting with clients,” she adds, which is something that has been forgotten in the age of Zoom meetings and presenting from our beds.
We’ve polled experts to get their opinions on anything workwear-related. Whether your workplace has a business formal or casual dress requirement (or anything in between), we’ve gathered up 39 items for both men and women that are all under $200 and ideal for refreshing your office wear wardrobe.

That’s right, I’m a Cardinal, and I’m a pretty cool card. I’m a big fan of Coach Bruce Arians, and I’m looking forward to the coming season. I was in a car accident last week and I broke some bones in my face, but I’m expected to be back on the field soon. I didn’t know any of this at the beginning of the offseason, but it’s been pretty interesting to learn how many friends I have in the Cardinal Nation.
It wasn’t a week after Braden’s surgery that his trainer at the time, Chris Leche, told him the good news: He was going to be the Cardinals’ starting left fielder. The only problem? Braden said he wasn’t ready to play first base. “I had never played first,” he says. “I was scared.” Sure, he’d played a little in college. But he’d never played a full major-league season. Braden played all of 15 games at first base in the minors. In the majors, he played just nine games. He had one picnic. “That was it,” Braden says. So Leche pressed on. He trained Braden to
It’s been almost ten years since former Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald made his first appearance with the Arizona Cardinals. He’s been an inspiration to all Cardinals fans ever since, and to be honest, for most of us, that hasn’t changed since he walked off the field in 2010.. Read more about larry fitzgerald wife and let us know what you think.
courtesy of Getty Images Against the Seattle Seahawks in 2018, Larry Fitzgerald reaches for a pass.
Larry Fitzgerald, the free-agent Arizona Cardinals star, provided an update on his future on Friday after months of silence.
Fitzgerald, an 11-time Pro Bowler, was on his weekly radio show, “Let’s Go,” with Jim Gray. He informed Jim about the obstacles that lie in his way of playing football.
“To be honest with you, Jim, I simply don’t feel like playing right now,” Fitzgerald remarked. I’m not sure how I’ll feel in September, October, or November, but right now, I simply don’t feel like it.”
Fitz, 37, believes he doesn’t have the same love for football as he did in the past.
“I believe I must show respect for it. Football isn’t one of those sports where you want to go out and play without being completely involved and prepared to accomplish the things you need to do.”
Tom Brady, who will co-host the game with Fitzgerald in 2021, shared his views on the legend.
Brady remarked, “Nobody has had a career like Larry Fitzgerald.” “Larry is one of the greatest players in the history of the game.”
Fitzgerald is a living legend.
He is second all-time in receiving yards and catches in the NFL, behind only Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. It didn’t happen over night, however.
The Cardinals chose Larry Fitzgerald in the third round (3rd overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft. Fitzgerald and teammate Anquan Boldin were just the second pair from the same squad to both catch over 100 receptions and reach over 1,400 yards in their second season.
In 2008, “Fitz” was selected First-Team All-Pro, and he and Hall-of-Famer Kurt Warner traveled to Super Bowl 43, where they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a heartbreaker. Despite the loss, the future Hall-of-Famer had a spectacular and amazing playoff journey. Larry could always be counted on to win every playoff game.
In the playoffs, Larry Fitzgerald averaged over 104 yards receiving and over a touchdown per game. That is the most by any player who has appeared in more than four playoff games in his career.
20 August 2021 — Bo Brack (@BoBrack)
There were periods when Fitzgerald’s roster lacked great quarterbacks, yet he managed to improve each of them. Do you recall Ryan Lindley’s name? In his NFL career, Fitzgerald also has more tackles than drops.
Larry Fitzgerald has more tackles than drops in his career.
Allow it to settle in for a moment.
20 August 2021 — James Palmer (@JamesPalmerTV)
The Cardinals will be welcomed with open arms.
According to the Arizona Republic, general manager Steve Keim said that they would accept Fitzgerald’s decision.
“It hasn’t been any different every year,” Keim added. “Larry represents himself, and we’ll get down and speak, and I’ve always said to him, ‘Let me know what you want to accomplish.’ That is the kind of respect he really deserves. The ball is in his court, as (coach) Kliff (Kingsbury) said. It’s all up to him.”
While Arizona is ready to accommodate Fitzgerald’s wishes, it seems that the team has moved on with its personnel choices. A.J. Green was added to Arizona’s roster this summer, joining DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk. Then, in the second round of the 2021 draft, they added to their wide receiver room by selecting Rondale Moore.
Fitzgerald is unlikely to return to Arizona, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. This was before Moore was drafted:
“In Arizona, Fitzgerald’s door seems to be shut. The addition of receiver A.J. Green, who would effectively take Fitzgerald’s position behind DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk, appeared to clinch the deal,” Florio added. “Even if the Cardinals choose to have four receivers who don’t play special teams, the club seems to have too much money invested in the position, thanks to Hopkins’ top-of-market deal and Green’s one-year agreement.”
Keim is aware of Fitzgerald’s situation and what the future holds for him. There is no obligation to do anything.
“He understands that if he wants to be a Cardinal, he can become one. You don’t go telling Larry Fitzgerald or giving him ultimatums, however. We have much too much respect for him to do anything like that. I’m certain that if he wants to play, he’ll let us know.”
During the season, you never know what could happen. Fitzgerald and the Cardinals may reunite if they need depth or a seasoned presence for a playoff run and Fitzgerald shows the same enthusiasm as in past years. That seems to be the only way for the two parties to reunite.
This week, legendary Cardinals outfielder Reggie Sanders went public with a stunning statement: he says he’s given up on his dream of making it to the majors and is now content with playing in Japan. “After going through the same thing thousands of others have, I’ve finally realized that I’m not going to make it,” Sanders said. “I’m 30 years old and I’ve been playing baseball for nearly 20 years. I’m not going to be able to make it in the MLB. I’ve accepted it and it’s a lifestyle change. I think it’s time I moved on and became a full-time player in Japan.”. Werder Bremen fans who remember Adam Szalai from his formative years in New York City will recall the 21-year-old attacking midfielder as a player that was on the cusp of breaking into NYCFC’s first team. After slowly starting the season with the club, Szalai was loaned to Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach for the remainder of the campaign, where he flourished and helped them to a top-six finish.
Monchengladbach is a little football team in Germany. They’re one of the best teams in the Bundesliga. And in the summer transfer window, they made a big signing. They signed a really good player from one of the best teams in the MLS. A striker by the name of Robert Mensah, who was on loan from NYCFC. But Monchengladbach aren’t even the first to do this. They’re just the first team to do it in what seems like years.
A rising star in the Bundesliga, Alexander Isak, is preparing for a big weekend in Germany. The Swedish teenager leads his team in scoring with 7 goals in 7 matches and is a legitimate threat to Bayern Munich for the throne in the title race.
Joe Scally made a visit to his old team, New York City FC, in June. After all, it had only been six months since he had completed his move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach — who play Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (12:25 p.m. ET, stream live on ESPN+) — and yet NYCFC sporting director David Lee, who had watched Scally progress through the club’s academy system, had already noticed a difference in him.
“[Scally] seemed to be more mature,” Lee told ESPN. “He seemed to be larger and stronger. Just that six-month shift — I think we forget that when young people leave their parents, whether they’re going to college or doing something else, they suddenly have to fend for themselves, and they grow up fast. Physically, he definitely progressed even more, which is very amazing.”
Scally’s development has been on full show in the first few weeks of the club season. Scally, a right-back by profession, was called in to replace injured starting left-back Ramy Bensebaini and has excelled in both a DFB-Pokal win over Kaiserslautern and last Friday’s 1-1 draw against the star-studded squad of defending champions Bayern Munich.
“It was insane,” Scally said from Germany to ESPN. “It was as though I were in a dream.”
He was fairly confident he’d start against Bayern because of his performance in the cup match, which sparked a unique set of jitters considering the guys he’d be facing, namely Robert Lewandowski and Leroy Sane.
– LaLiga, Bundesliga, MLS, FA Cup, and more on ESPN+ (U.S.) – Watch ESPN FC every day on ESPN+ (U.S. only)
Scally’s family was visiting, which helped him relax, and he was definitely calm when the starting whistle sounded. Scally remembered how an early encounter with Lewandowski, in which the striker was bodied up and forced to send the ball out of bounds, helped set the tone for him.
“It felt like, ‘I just received the ball from Lewandowski, who I’ve been watching for a long time and is one of the greatest strikers of all time,’” Scally said. “Knowing that gave me a lot of confidence heading into the game.”
Scally received a text message from USMNT U-17 teammate and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Giovanni Reyna, who congratulated him on his performance. He wasn’t the only one who felt this way.
Scally remarked, “My entire phone was exploding up.” “All I had to do was keep swiping. It was fantastic.”
Even more remarkable has been how quickly he has adjusted to life in Germany.

It’s always remarkable to adapt fast to a new nation, a new language, and a different soccer culture. It’s a game that forces the player to go outside of their comfort zone. However, the continuing COVID-19 epidemic has made that task much more difficult. Because there are less chances to hang out at the training field, building connections with teammates is more challenging. Even outside of the team, the protocols limited contacts with the general population, limiting opportunities to get more familiar with the language. It’s really simple to feel alone.
It was an event that brought everything Scally had left behind into sharper perspective. His early development was further hampered by an ankle ailment he suffered before leaving for Germany.
“It was certainly difficult,” he said. “The first month was difficult for me since I was separated from my family, girlfriend, friends, and everyone else. And it all occurred in the blink of an eye. You believe the day would never come when you’ll have to leave everyone, and then it does.”
John Scally, Scally’s father, said, “FaceTime is a godsend. You couldn’t practice because of COVID, and you couldn’t even stay out with the players… you had to go back to your flat and that was the end of it. So it’s fantastic that he made it through. He’s an 18-year-old with a lot of experience.”
Getting out on the field hastened the acclimatization process. The defender immediately established himself in Gladbach’s second team after recovering from his ankle injury, making 15 games in the 2020-21 season. He also practiced with the first team on a daily basis, and although the pace of play and thinking was first challenging, he quickly earned the respect of his new teammates. His early success provided him confidence in his choice to go to Europe, as well as the knowledge that he’d made the correct decision.

“When you perform well, it boosts your confidence and makes you happy,” Scally said. “I believe it was immediately after my first session with the first team, in my first game, that things really began to pick up.”
Reyna, a long-time friend, was nearby, which helped. Their residences are 45 minutes apart, and they kept in touch via video games even when they couldn’t see each other in person. While Scally is the king of Mario Kart, Reyna is the queen of Fortnite, particularly when her younger brother Joah is involved.
Scally laughed and remarked, “They’re both so much better than me.” “When we’re playing Fortnite, they’ll never pick me up if I die or fall down because they’re better off without me.”
Scally took a couple of weeks off after the 2020-21 season to relax in West Palm Beach, Florida, before returning home to Long Island. He began preparing for the new season there, a routine that demanded a particular sort of dedication.
The Village Idiot Pub in Lake Grove, New York, is co-owned by Father John. The restaurant is just a two-minute walk from Scally’s house, and the temptation of some of the more sinful menu items was too strong to ignore. Drew and Anna, his siblings, did nothing to help their brother stick to a diet.

Scally said, “My brother and sister would constantly grab the wings and put them in my face.” “Of course, I’d have to buy it now and again, but they make a fantastic grilled chicken with Frank’s spicy sauce. That was great with me, and it was fantastic.”
What is Scally’s greatest flaw? Oreos that have been fried. “It was served with vanilla ice cream,” he said. “Not getting it was the most difficult thing on the menu.”
Scally had a new manager to impress in Adi Hutter heading into the 2021-22 season. All the more incentive to avoid the fried Oreos and arrive at preseason in top form. Scally accomplished exactly that, and as injuries to the defensive line mounted, he placed himself in the mix for first-team minutes. He’s already paid back his manager’s trust in two games, and against Bayern, Scally kept Sane quiet.
After the Bayern match, Hutter stated, “I have to give Joe Scally a tremendous compliment.” “At the age of 18, he made his Bundesliga debut against Bayern Munich on the left side, right-footed against elite players, and he repaid me with an absolute class performance.”
Scally’s tactical performance has improved, according to Lee. More particularly, his positioning choices when Gladbach isn’t in possession of the ball, understanding when to press an opponent, and staying linked to the center-back have all improved.
“You’re playing against top-level players, and making the incorrect choice may cost you,” Lee said. “I believe he made some really great choices throughout the game for the most part, and that helped them achieve the amazing outcomes and performances they had in the early games.”
With Bensebaini working his way back to full health, it won’t be surprising if Scally returns to the bench soon, but he knows it’s not a good idea to look too far ahead. All he can do now is make himself as essential to Hutter and his team as possible.
“If I keep performing well and the coach has faith in me,” Scally added, “maybe I’ll remain or I’ll move to the right side and start.” “So, whatever happens, I always have faith in the coach and his choices, and I will continue to work for the club.”
Scally’s development throughout the duration of the 2021-22 season will be interesting to monitor, given how the opening weeks of the season have gone for him.
When NYCFC cast its net across the continent in order to fill out its roster, there was no shortage of name recognition. Towering players from the esteemed academies of Ajax, Marseille, and Benfica were signed with ease, but one player stood out as a unique talent. I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that the 20-year-old Austrian left back, Marcelo Saracchi, was the real deal. As the youngest player in the squad, Saracchi was thrust into a starting role for the first time in his career and immediately adapted to the rigors of the MLS..
