The Seattle Seahawks will restore the safety of Jamal Adams’ All-Pro after his absence of four games, but will not turn their backs on Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde against the Buffalo Beals on Sunday.
Sihouki (6-1) eliminated Carson, Hyde and four others: The defense and Benson Mayov (ankle), Corner Shakeill Griffin (concussion/arrows), Nickel Hugo Amadi (hamstring) and left defender Mike Yupati (back).
No other Sikhouki had a match indication in the team’s final report, which means they have to play against Buffalo (6-1).
The absence of Carson (race) and Hyde (hamstring) for the second week in a row makes Suchokes the only healthy cocks on their list of 53 so far, along with debutants DJ Dallas and Travis Homer. On Wednesday, they signed a contract with Alex Collins for a coaching staff and were able to keep him for the match day.
Carson didn’t check his dislocated leg on Friday as originally planned.
He couldn’t make it today, said Coach Pete Carroll. Today we tried to decide where he is and they didn’t think it was right to take him there today, so we have to leave him at home, take care of him and get him ready for next week.
Dallas, who was in the Seattle repeat on lap four when he changed places in the passing race, made his first career move last week by winning Seattle in front of 49 players. He ran 41 meters on 18 carriers and caught five passes for 17 meters with haste and touchdown.
Homer played only seven offensive shots while waving on a bruised knee. He didn’t train on Wednesdays and was limited to Thursdays and Fridays.
Collins spent his 2016 rookie season with the Seahawks and hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2018. He joined the Seattle practice team on Wednesday.
He’s had a great week for us, and he’s been really impressive, Carroll from Collins said. He’s a bit back in the mainstream here, and we feel very comfortable when he’s playing [on Sunday], even though he hasn’t rehearsed all that time. We have a good feeling about him. His head’s in the right place.
The return of Adams, along with the addition of Carlos Dunlap, who played last year, could have boosted the defense as most yards in NFL history have played six games before showing signs of improvement last week. Another defender, Rashim Green, is set to retire from the injured reserve after what Carroll called two fantastic weeks of training.
Adams has been on the sidelines since he injured his groin in the third week. He was supposed to come back last week before a non-COVID 19 disease brought him back. He was a full participant on Friday, and according to Carroll he’s gone Sunday.
He said he’s out of rehab, so he looked good this week, Carroll said. It’s gone. I see no reason to restrict them.
Last week, the Seahawks bought Dunlap from a store in Cincinnati, Bengal, but he had to go through the KOVID-19 approval process with the NFL before he could train for the first time in Seattle on Wednesday. Carroll said the break allowed Dunlap to learn the Seattle defense well enough to make a smooth transition.
He was very smart and had a lot of fun during the week with everyone trying to figure out how this thing works and so on, so he will be happy with this weekend and the development of the game with our team, said Carroll. I’m counting on him to show up and take care of it.
The situation is less clear when wrestling veteran Damon Harrison makes his debut with the Seahawks. Carroll recalled that it was no longer a matter of Harrison returning to football uniform, which he had done since signing the contract with the Seattle coaching staff on September 7. October. Now it’s just a matter of finding a way to play it.
Our boys did a good job and we didn’t want anyone else to relieve him, but he’s ready to go, Carroll said. So he’s gonna jump as fast as he can. He looks good. He’s worked very hard to get in shape and he’s really starting to recover.
The Seahawks have Jarran Reed, Pun Ford and Brian Monet in a defensive battle.
Really, honestly, the other guys who work hard, they’re healthy and everything, Carroll said. We’ve got three guys playing inside, so it’s not quite there yet. It’s a long season. We still have a lot of games to play.
Iupati will miss the fourth game of Street, while Griffin, Mayova and Amadi will miss their second game for Street. Carroll said it was a sprain for Miova.
