Carnival Corp. and CITIC Limited signed an agreement to refurbish the Carnival Triumph, a Carnival Cruise Lines cruise ship, in China. The cruise ship will undergo a refurbishment process in CITIC Shipyard, Shanghai, from December 18, 2016, to January 25, 2017.
Carnival Cruise Line announced this week it will be refurbishing its newest cruise ship, the Carnival Triumph, with a new paint job and new furnishings. Currently sailing the waters between Costa Rica and Panama, the ship will spend six months in China’s Dalian shipbuilding port, a process that will take approximately four months to complete.
Carnival’s Victory is a Carnival Corporation and Carnival Asia’s biggest and most luxurious cruise ship. It was built in 2005 and is currently based out of Singapore.The ship is the largest in the fleet to have been built with 12 decks and a total of 806 cabins.The Victory (formerly known as the Sea Diamond) is a single class cruise ship with the capacity to carry a rather large number of passengers.
The Carnival Fascination, which was sold by Carnival Cruise Line due to the effects of the global pandemic in 2020, is being refurbished to resume cruises from mainland China. Those who have sailed on a previous Carnival cruise ship and follow the cruise line closely will be pleased to hear that the ship will not be retired and will continue to operate in Asia.
The charm of the carnival at this time
The Fantasy-class cruise ship is currently in China for a refurbishment, and cruisegoers will be pleased to hear that it will continue to sail under its new owner, Century Cruises. The Carnival Fascination recently arrived at the Zhejiang Union Repair shipyard in Zhejiang Province. The ship is currently being converted into a luxury cruise ship and will remain in service. The cruise line is already recruiting.

The ship is currently named Century Harmony, which was confirmed in December 2020 when the name was spotted on the hull during a port visit in Gibraltar. Previously, the ship was in cold storage in Cadiz, Spain during the shutdown. Also read : Fantasy-class cruise ship sold to replace it Century Harmony is part of Century Cruises, which offers cruises on the Yangtze River, and is part of the Chongqing New Century Crusie Co. based in Chongqing, Sichuan Province. 
It was previously reported that the ship would be a floating hotel, but it was only recently announced that it would be able to offer luxury cruises from Xiamen, Fujian province. The cruise line currently operates six river cruise ships, with the Century Harmony being the largest. Century Harmony, formerly known as Carnival Fascination, was sold due to the effects of the global pandemic. Four Fantasy-class ships were sold, and fortunately for the Carnival Fascination, it was the only one not sold for scrap. The sister ships Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Inspiration and Carnival Imagination have been shipped to the Aliaga shipyard in Turkey. Carnival Fantasy, the first ship in the class, has already been completely scrapped, and the other two ships are keeping pace. Built for Carnival Cruise Line at the Helsinki shipyard in Finland, Carnival Fascination made her debut in 1994. The ship has a gross tonnage of 70,367 tons and can accommodate more than 2,000 guests in double occupancy. There are currently only four Fantasy-class ships left in Carnival’s fleet: Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise.
