On Sunday, the CW took another look at the upcoming Superman & Lois series with a new promo that shows a little more of the problems and family dynamics that Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) will face. Fan reaction to the trailer was overwhelmingly positive. Many are looking forward to the sequel to Super Fam, and it appears that the series already has a big fan in the person of Arrowverse alumnus Stephen Amell. The star of the Arrow series shared the promo on Twitter and commented that the series is “incredible.”

In Smallville, the incumbent couple Superman and Lois will face major changes in their lives as they try to deal with increasingly difficult work and family problems because Clark is Superman – a secret he can no longer keep from his sons. The series is set in Smallville and will also feature several characters from the great Superman story, including Lana Lang (Emanuel Crikey) and Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh). The series begins on Tuesday, February 23, with a two-hour event featuring a lengthy premiere of the pilot and a half-hour special, “Superman and Lois: A Legacy of Hope,” featuring upcoming episodes of the series, interviews with cast and crew members, and fans’ opinions on the impact of Superman and Lois Lane.

You can watch the official synopsis of the premiere of Superman and Lois below.

SERIES PREMIERE – IN SUPERMAN &. LOIS, after years of fighting megalomaniac supervillains, the monster plagues of Metropolis and alien invaders determined to destroy the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, the Man of Steel, aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, “Teen Wolf”) and the world’s most famous comic book journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, “Grimm”), face one of their greatest challenges : dealing with all the stress, pressure and complexity of being a working parent in modern society.

To further complicate the already arduous task of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also consider whether their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsas, “Little Lights Everywhere”) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, “Peanuts Movie”) will be able to inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers when they are older. Upon their return to Smallville to take over the Kents’ family business, Clark and Lois reacquaint themselves with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, “Entourage”), a local lender who is also Clark’s first love, and her husband, fire chief Kyle Cushing (Eric Valdez, “Graceland”). Adults aren’t the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville, as Kent’s sons reconnect with Lana and Kyle’s rebellious daughter Sarah (India Navarrette, “Wander Darkly”).

Of course, the life of a superhero is never boring, especially when Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, “Nip/Tuck”), is waiting for Superman to defeat a villain in an instant or save the day. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois’ return to idyllic Smallville is not fazed when a mysterious stranger (Wole Parks, “All-American”) and passionate tycoon Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner, “Tyrant”) enter their lives.

The episode’s director, Lee Toland Krieger, and Todd Helbing wrote the play for the first episode, based on a story by Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing.

The premiere of Superman & Lois takes place on Tuesday, February 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, followed by Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope at 9:30 p.m.
