Ivan Cavallero scored a late goal to force relegated Fulham back into the Premier League draw with Tottenham in a hastily converted London derby.
The Portuguese striker cancelled out Harry Kane’s first-half header and found himself on the post for Son Heung-Min after Spurs’ second goal.
Cavallero has achieved a remarkable turnaround for a team whose manager Scott Parker said it would have been disgraceful to be informed just two days before the game against Jose Mourinho’s men after Spurs’ game at Aston Villa was postponed due to the Covid 19 outbreak at Villa.
Tottenham boss Mourinho had little sympathy for the visitors when the derby was postponed. It was cancelled three hours before kickoff, when it was originally scheduled for the 30th. December was planned.
Despite all the discomfort and complications associated with the match, the quality and intensity of play from both teams at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was high.
